From DJ to Preacher

Dear Sis,

The way I use microphones is so much different now. Once I was a reporter of the world news but now I am a reporter of the GOOD NEWS.

My journey into ministry started in a radio station. I was 21 years old, newly graduated and ready to make my mark on the world. But little did I know that God would be using this as a platform to catapult me into destiny.

At the time, work days for me would begin at 6am, and as I would be sitting there in the studio God would be speaking. He would be giving me sermons, book ideas, instructions for building Ministries (which became Dear Sis Ministries) and soon a direction to LEAVE that job and pursue Him. He literally said, "Drop your net and follow me."

He strategically arranged departure for me, and I ended up at Grace Christian University . It wasn't by chance, an ad for the school came across my computer screen. And God said "Go." They were offering a Graduate program in Ministry and I figured I'd give it a try.

I was very reluctant and afraid. I never studied anything like this before, Grad school sounded hard, Women don't study ministry, where I was going to get more money to go to school. Sis was confused. But what was there to lose?

I jumped right in. Got busy. And God saw to it that I was SUCCESSFUL every step of the way. He wanted me there so he he mad provisions for me. Not to just be there, but to make my mark. I was able to develop and devote studies to Dear Sis Ministries and gain the support of the University!

I graduated in April 2019, and was honored to give the commencement address where I told my story dating back to sitting in that radio station and leaving to pursue God. Many were inspired but most importantly they became motivated to pursue God's purpose for their lives. It was the best decision I've ever made. Nothing was planned but everything was purposed.

Pursue God's purpose for you sis. It will change your life. If I can go from DJ to Minister, you can go from where you are to where he wants you to be.

Love you Sis!
